xcribe does not collect any type data (personal, analytics, usage...). The only data that is stored is the transcription generated from the local recording. This data is stored locally on your device and is not sent to any server.
The xcribe Mac application has been sandboxed and hardened so it does not have access to any of your documents, and no other app has access to xcribe and your transcriptions.
All transcription happens in your mac. The recording of your voice is also removed after every transcription.
If you are using the Extended mode, the transcription text is sent to a xcribe private server. The server then anonymizes the data and performs a request to an external service to format the text according to the prompt or notes.
The data that the remote service receives is anonymized and does not contain any personal information like your IP address. All the remote service will receive is the text from your transcription and it will look like the request comes from the xcribe server.
Consider not sharing private data in your transcription if you are using the extended mode.
Same rules as the Extended mode. Data is anonymized and sent to a remote service.
